Plenty of Brooklyn dance-pop bands propel themselves on tech-fritz effects, pensive yet oblique lyrics, and foot-thick bass lines, but Jessica 6 make the formula gorgeous. Their recent single, “Fun Girl,” is a solid antidote to the unstoppable tides of electroclash clamor; it’s a smart, lush floor track in the vein of Hercules & Love Affair. (In fact, vocalist Nomi Ruiz, keyboardist Morgan Wiley, and bassist Andrew Raposo met while members of opening acts on Herc’s 2008 tour.)
