Yes, their name is epic. But once you get past the smarts of this shabbily-dressed NY indie quartet, the snarling, super-chunky sass of tracks such as “Eugene Levy Unbilled” supercede the fact that this band isn’t even Canadian. Tonight at Cake Shop-spinoff Bruar Falls, they’ll plays with locals the Kind (pitch: Springsteen-meets-pop-punk) and two breakout balladeer acts from Chapel Hill.
