I laughed. I cried. I dry-heaved. Expect to have a violent reaction when the International CringeFest ’10, a celebration of the very worst that theater has to offer, inflicts itself upon us once again. Summer theater isn’t typically up to much, but for the past six seasons, this emotive event has offered relief from the barely adequate or the merely mediocre. Brace yourself, dear spectator: These plays are bad. Arranged into categories such as “No Holes Barred” and “Is That a Corncob in Your Pocket?,” this year’s productions include Psycho Bitch & the Throbbing Blue Veiner, Torrid Taxes, and The Ass Scent of Man. (Charming.) Bring your sense of good cheer. And possibly an air-sickness bag.
Mondays-Fridays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 5, 8 & 10:30 p.m.; Sundays, 4 & 7 p.m. Starts: July 19. Continues through Aug. 8, 2010
