Contrary to what it may sound like, the famous DIY arts festival the London Biennale, founded by artist David Medalla in 1998, isn’t just for artists across the pond. Numerous “satellite” events are held in cities around the world, from Berlin, to Rome, to Madrid. Tonight, the boundary-pushing Inbred Hybrid Collective presents the opening party for the London Biennale NYC Satellite Event, featuring the works of sculptor Michele Brody, photographer Walt Cessna, and multimedia artist Michelle Handelman, among others. Opening party is August 5 at 6; exhibit continues through September 1.
