‘The Bunker’

Spinoza and Eric Cloutier host another solid pair for the Bunker’s continuing Berghain/Panoramabar residency. Marcel Dettmann understands techno as mood music—for a dark, dream-like, dancing mood. His eponymous new album on Ostgut Ton shows off the same miracle of minimalism that forms his sets: A throbbingly strict bass anchoring a whole shadowy world of hypnotic textures. Steffi spent a decade releasing solid records on Amsterdam’s electro/techno gem Klakson before moving to Berlin and starting her limited-edition vinyl label, Dolly.
