This wardrobe choice is only fit for the city’s most fervent glass-half-fullers (fashion sense aside). With the Second Avenue subway’s opening repeatedly delayed, it’s pretty brazen for the Transit Museum Store to put a T train shirt on the market, but, hey, what’s life without something to look forward to? Thankfully, the shirts are “heavyweight 100% cotton,” so with light use, air drying, and a little luck, the tee will be comfortably broken in but still without gaping holes by 20–, when the new subway line is complete.
As Second Ave. Sagas points out, the T line will not even run until the final phase of the Second Ave. project, after the extension of the Q line. So it will be a vintage tee
as soon as if it ever becomes current. This is like planning a birthday party for a sperm cell; lets just hope putting the tee before the T doesn’t jinx anything that might influence its very existence.
