Yasuda Alum to Open Niko in Old Honmura An Space


At Diner’s Journal, Flo Fab reports that that the old Honmura An space at 170 Mercer Street will soon be home to Niko, a new sushi restaurant opening this fall. The restaurant’s sushi chef, Hiro Sawatari, was previously at Sushi Yasuda. Trevor Corson, author of The Story of Sushi and The Secret Life of Lobsters, will consult on the menu, and the hot food kitchen will be headed by Raj Dixit, formerly of Bouley.
