Flo Fab reports in the Times that two new sit-down restaurants — a French bistro from Lee Hanson and Minetta’s Riad Nasr, and a steak and seafood tavern from Porter House New York’s Michael Lomonaco, in addition to a food court featuring burgers made from Pat LaFrieda meat — will all land at the airport this month. The names involved in eateries scheduled for coming months — Locanda Verde’s Andrew Carmellini, Marea partner Chris Cannon — are more reminiscent of the red carpet than the tarmac. “We wanted this to be a real New York dining experience,” a representative tells the Times.
The good stuff is past security, so it’s for ticket-holders only. Maybe time to reconsider your commitment to JetBlue at JFK?
