Brandon Baltzley has reportedly left 6th Street Kitchen for a job at Alinea. Greg Torrech of Brown Café is said to be taking over.

Shea Gallante, formerly of Cru, has teamed up with restaurateur Stratis Morfogen to open Ciano, a new Italian restaurant, this fall.

Rodelio Aglibot, the executive chef at Sunda in Chicago, announced that he has assumed the role of executive chef at the BLT Restaurant Group.

Ryan Skeen says he will no longer be tweeting every little thing that bothers him, saying “I’d rather be known for my food, not how I played this ridiculous press game in this city.”

Meanwhile, Eric Ripert got on Twitter to say he doesn’t support Purity vodka. Apparently, someone dropped a bottle in his hands, took a picture, and ran. Lame.

Nate Appleman says the hype over the N.Y.-vs.-S.F. face-off being put on by Le Fooding next month is “silly. We are cooking food, not saving lives. People need to chill out.”
