Bent Spoon and Beer Table Ice Cream Social

Beer and ice cream, together at last. Gabrielle Carbone from Bent Spoon ice cream in Princeton, New Jersey, will host this pairing of four of her company’s seasonal flavors, made with local Garden State ingredients, each with an accompanying beer. You’ll scream, sip, and probably giggle a little. Tickets are $35.
Classic Cocktails, Classic Film: Whiskey
Friday, August 20, 6:30 p.m.
Our favorite film characters tend to be those who enjoy a tipple or two. But forget Cosmos. We’ll take a character who likes his (or her) whiskey, please. Sip on several different brown liquors, as well as bourbon-, rye-, and Scotch-based cocktails, as you watch clips from some of Hollywood’s best-loved classics. Tickets are $45.
Washington County Farm Tour
Saturday, August 21, 8 a.m.
Get out of the city this weekend for a tour of the farms of Washington County. Basis Foods is hosting a visit of upstate New York, complete with a barbecue lunch at the Saratoga Apple farm stand, featuring Manx Station grass-fed beef, farmer John Ubaldo’s chorizo and pork sausage, and late-summer produce from Sheldon Farms, Saratoga Apple, and other family-owned farms in the area. Dessert is at Battenkill Creamery for — what else? — ice cream. Tickets are $75 for Good Food to You customers and $95 for non-customers.
