Guiding these excursions are the boss’s alto ideas. Zenon is a deeply fluent saxophonist, mixing bop, M-BASE, and what-have-you into a refined swirl that allows room for both mania and melancholy. Seems they’ve been working on tunes for a new project, so expect a few revelations.
