The seminal Bay Area doom-metal outfit earned the bulk of their praise after breaking up and members went on to form High on Fire and Om. But now Sleep is back to soak up the adulation in real time: Last year, the band reunited at England’s All Tomorrow’s Parties festival. This weekend, they’ll do the same at ATP New York (albeit with Jason Roeder of Neurosis filling in for drummer Chris Hakius), as well as at a pair of Brooklyn Vegan-presented Masonic Temple gigs. With Doomriders and Unearthly Trance.
