GLEE MEETS MURDER

Dancing and singing in high school like the kids on Glee wasn’t so common back in our day as were popularity contests, jealousy, and vengeance. Which is probably why Heathers, the off-beat dramedy, starring Christian Slater, Winona Ryder, and Shannen Doherty, about a group of high school kids stabbing each other in the back (sometimes literally), became such a cult favorite. Now with all the Glee mania, it makes sense that Heathers: The Musical is finally happening. Some of Broadway’s stars will be starring in tonight’s concert presentation at Joe’s Pub. But will this cheeky satire include real pyrotechnics for the big, explosive finale? You may want to hang on tight to your seat, just in case.
