This Chowhound thread points out that Spicy Mina, the cultishly popular Bangladeshi restaurant in Woodside, has been closed since early August, causing the ‘Hounders to worry the shuttering is permanent.
Unfortunately, they might be right. A drive-by on Tuesday night at about 8:30 found the restaurant closed. While its website is still working, the phone is “temporarily disconnected.” However, Mina has taken long breaks before, so nothing is certain.
Meanwhile, in other Queens Bangladeshi restaurant news, Deshi Biryani has transformed into a pretty slick place called South Asian Family Restaurant. It serves mainly standard Northern Indian dishes.
