Police Seek Suspect in Homicide Near NYPD Headquarters


On Wednesday, September 1, at 2:53 a.m., police responded to the call of a man shot at 46 Madison Street, near NYPD headquarters. The victim has now been identified as Anthony Evans, 28, of South Street’s Alfred E. Smith houses. He had gunshot wounds to the torso, head, and right arm, and was pronounced DOA at Beekman Hospital.

Now police are asking for help locating Pierre Hecker, 29, of 1295 Fifth Avenue in East Harlem, for questioning in regard to the homicide. Hecker, pictured, is 6’05” and 180 lbs. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). All calls are confidential.
