Some people insist that he’s the most talented entertainer the 20th Century ever saw, and who’s to say they’re wrong? The guy sang, danced, played the piano and drums, acted in comedy and tragedy on stage and screen, was a great partner for Judy Garland, and went Asian for Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Well, that last didn’t work out so well. Nothing stopped him, and nowadays only his wife can rein him in when he gets too rambunctious. Born Joe Yule Jr. in Brooklyn, he’ll turn 90 two days after this gig ends. So celebrate Yuletide early.
