‘The Hidden Musical Treasures of Romania’


Tonight’s event is part of the New York World Festival: Music Around the Black Sea. Music from the Baltics is known for its cross-pollination, especially the blending of Roma/Gyspy sounds with Jewish music. Balkan music expert Bob Cohen will lead a multi-media presentation that goes deep into Romanian culture and history supported by his three-decade-long research there.
