Given that it’s almost cool enough to entertain the possibility of turning on an oven again, we’re happy to learn that Baked — home to the aforementioned peanut s’mores bar — is about to publish its second cookbook.
Baked Explorations follows the success of Baked: New Frontiers in Baking, which was published in 2008. In Explorations , per Amazon’s product description, “the authors [Matt Lewis and Renato Poliafito] give their signature “Baked” twists to famous desserts from across the country. Here is their take on our most treasured desserts: Banana Cream Pie, Black & White Cookies, Mississippi Mud Pie, and more — from the overworked to the underappreciated.”
There will be 75 recipes covering everything from breakfast to midnight snacks; given the love that greeted Lewis and Poliafito’s first book, one imagines that their sophomore effort will be anything but underappreciated.
