Open & Closed: Say Hello to Burger & Barrel, Goodbye to Cru and Veritas?


Restaurants and bars, they come and they go. Here are a few making their debuts and bowing out this week.

Cru and Veritas have both closed supposedly temporarily for renovations, but most industry folk are betting they don’t reopen.

Bushwick has a new sushi joint: Momo Sushi Shack will also offer Japanese tapas, but sadly no delivery.

Burger & Barrel is the latest from the team behind Lure Fishbar, including Josh Capon, who won the People’s Choice award at last year’s Burger Bash.

The Eventi Hotel’s new 20,000-square-foot food court, FoodParc, has four concessions, including a burger joint and Asian snack food.

Rock club Don Hill’s has been remade by nightlife duo Nur Khan and Paul Sevigny into the latest celebrity hot spot.
