Two Scottish indie-rock firebrands close out the concert season at Williamsburg Waterfront tonight, and both have recently reached milestones in their careers. Teenage Fanclub, they of big choruses and metal babies, celebrated their 20th anniversary last year and released their ninth album, Shadows, this June. Headliners Belle and Sebastian, who go through whimsy like dollar bills, aren’t far behind Fanclub, as they are in their 15th year and will be releasing album No. 8, Write About Love, in October. Williamsburg hasn’t seen this much cautious optimism and sarcasm since. . . oh, who are we kidding?
