Although their name suggests massive peaks, Mount Kimbie’s Dom Maker and Kai Campos really craft music more kin to foothills, creeks, and little alcoves. As this year’s stand-out Crooks & Lovers attests, the duo suffuses each corner with all sorts of sonic detail, from prepared piano plinks to chopped-up r&b snippets to mid-afternoon rainstorms. Consider them the Boards of Canada of the dubstep movement, ever-so-slightly out of step. Making their New York premiere at the Bunker, expect them to brighten up those concrete corners.
