Welcome to The Best Thing I Ate Yesterday, where we endeavor to remember the very best thing we stuffed down our gullets over the past 24 hours. Why? Because the only thing better than enjoying a meal is wallowing in the memory of one savored in the recent past.
Today’s fond reminiscences …
Robert Sietsema: Yellow watermelon and mint popsicle from People’s Pops, Chelsea Market (Ninth Avenue and West 15th Street).
Jesse Hirsch: Warm corn cake with coconut ice cream and hibiscus sauce at Pampano (209 East 49th Street, 212-751-4545).
Rebecca Marx: Tofurky Kielbasa, fried in butter and eaten folded into a piece of toasted whole-wheat bread with melted Landaff cheddar, fried onions, and Dijon mustard, at home.
