Ex-White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who left his post on Friday, announced Sunday via YouTube what everyone already knew: he’s running for mayor of Chicago. Watch your goddamn backs, “gangbangers.”
In the clip, he runs down his career, mentions his immigrant father from Israel and speaks very calmly, without cursing. The closest he comes to his famous aggression is addressing the city’s gang problem. Emanuel also announces his “Tell It Like It Is” Tour, in which he visits Chicago’s “grocery stores, L stops, bowling alleys and hot dog stands,” to hear from “you, in blunt, Chicago terms.” Wink!
