Since the New York Post does not have a photograph of the Yemeni woman arrested yesterday in connection with the explosive packages headed for the United States, they just did the best they could on the cover of today’s newspaper. If you look closely at the image to right, you’ll see a generic, isolated photograph of a woman wearing a
traditional hijab, along with a pink dot stamped near her face reading, “WHAT SHE MIGHT LOOK LIKE.” Maybe they mean what her attire might look like? The Post has never exactly a beacon of cultural understanding or sensitivity, but imagine if the paper did the same for an unidentified black or Asian or Jewish suspect. They all look the same! Right?
