Today, EV Grieve notices that Michael “Bao” Huynh’s D.O.B. 111 has been shuttered of late.
Back in July, we discovered that both the St. Marks joint and Bia Garden on the Lower East Side were on the market. At the time, we were told by Huynh’s publicist that he had no plans to close either restaurant and was just “testing the real estate waters.” Well, it looks like he’s now plunged into said waters: Bia Garden closed last month to be turned into Chinito, and now this. Back in July, our source had said that three of Huynh’s restaurants were on the chopping block. With two down, we wonder which will be the third to go. Any guesses?
