Welcome to The Best Thing I Ate Yesterday, where we endeavor to remember the very best thing we stuffed down our gullets over the past 24 hours. Why? Because the only thing better than enjoying a meal is wallowing in the memory of one savored in the recent past.
Today’s fond reminiscences …
Robert Sietsema: Chunky salt-cod brandade with toasts and cornichons at Brasserie T (1425 Rue Jeanne-Mance, Montreal, 514-282-0808).
Victoria Bekiempis: Seasoned wildweed salad with spinach, bellflower, and fernbrake at Morning to Midnight (55 Third Avenue, 212-353-2698).
Chantal Martineau: Bites of unbaked cornbread and chorizo stuffing made at home to get a jump on Thanksgiving dinner. (The stuffing will be baked tomorrow.)
Lauren Shockey: Spaghetti with tomato butter sauce, at home.
Rebecca Marx: Bites of cranberry-walnut-fennel sauce I was making at home.
