A dude has married his yellow lab, and despite what you might think, “it’s not sexual — it’s just pure love.” Joseph Guiso, a single guy from Toowoomba, Australia, who’s actually kind of cute, was wedded — though we’re not sure how legally — to his five-year companion Honey yesterday. The proposal went down when the two happened upon a wedding during an afternoon walk.
“I said that could be us,” Mr. Guiso said.
“She didn’t say anything so I took that as a yes.”
There’s more wrong with this than simply considering silence as acceptance, but we won’t go there. And the bride did look beautiful on her day.
This is not, by the way, the first time a man has ever married a dog. In a far darker tale, an Indian man who stoned and clubbed to death two mating dogs as a teen (and then became paralyzed and deaf in one ear) married a dog at the age of 33 after an astrologer recommended that would break his curse.
To the happy couples!
