Following closely at the heels of his 10 Best New Restaurants in America list is Alan Richman’s roster of the Five Best Dishes of the Year. Four hometown restaurants are represented in the GQ critic’s list: The Breslin’s pig’s foot for two takes top honors, while ABC’s diver scallops are No. 3. And in last place are Lincoln (which Richman also dubbed his No. 1 new restaurant) and Adour, which are not tied but in “cross-cultural competition” for their uni pasta. Which means that between Jonathan Benno and the sea-urchin lobby, Richman will probably have more Harry & David holiday baskets than he knows what to do with.
