Maybe for the night, they’ll consider rebranding as “Dead Dogs.” Tinny, drawling, joy divided post-punkers Blank Dogs bring their pretty detachment to Home Sweet Home, a tiny, basement Lower East Side bar replete with creepy-kitsch taxidermied animals at every turn. Either the Brooklyn outfit will situate themselves next to the horse head or jam into the equally crowded rear dance floor; last year’s debut, Under and Under, couldn’t find a weirder space to be revisited live. It’s a bizarre New Year’s miracle. Part of the Wierd Party, run by DJ/artist Pieter Schoolwerth.
