Good to know that there are more survivors of the mid-’90s contemporary swing revival than Vince Vaughn. And two-plus decades after they formed, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy remain both an vaguely embarrassing name to tell a scalper and the guileless charmers behind “Go Daddy-O” and “You & Me & the Bottle Makes 3 Tonight (Baby)”. Note the latter track, and how a parenthetical “baby” is also still relevant in today’s climate. These guys were way ahead of their retro times.
