El Camion, a new Mexican cantina, is opening this Thursday, right next to Diablo Royale Este and around the corner from Mercadito Cantina. The restaurant’s consulting chef is Ross Gill, a former sous-chef at Dos Caminos, but the real draw for those with a taste for tippling will be the more than 23 tequilas in stock. Piña coladas and margaritas are some of the cocktails on offer, and dishes include a familiar pan-Latin stable of small plates, like empanadas and quesadillas, as well as tacos, fajitas, and burritos. A handful of mezcals from Del Maguey also make the drinks list.
