Seven years after opening its doors in the Meatpacking District, Spice Market is expanding to London. Jean-Georges Vongerichten will export his Southeast Asian restaurant to the city’s W Hotel on February 14, with Vong veteran Tim Tolley as the chef de cuisine. If the above image is any indication, the place will eschew the New York flagship’s rustic wooden chic in favor of an aesthetic more reminiscent of the Bangkok airport’s first-class departures lounge.
