Kode9 has been described as dubstep’s leading theorist. His practice is even better: the Londoner has shown the world artists such as Burial, Ikonika, Cooly G, and Scratch DVA, all while producing his own ground-breakers. He delivered one of 2010’s best mixes for DJ Kicks and Black Sun, his second album with the Spaceape, is due out in April. It should feature more of his deep and dark audio sci-fi. With Jersey’s DJ MikeQ (Qween Beat) and residents Contakt, Rem Koolhaus, Space Jam, Mayster, and C-Sick.
