‘Blkmarket Membership Presents Daniel Bell+Ryan Elliott’

by

Alongside Richie Hawtin, Dan Bell helped create minimal techno in Detroit in the early ’90s. Taking more from the cold futurism of Jeff Mills and the harshness of Belgian hardcore than from the accessible dance of, say, Kevin Saunderson, Bell constructed a dominating groove from blips and bleeps. He’s since led a diverse range of house and techno. Like the sound of minimalism itself, Spectral Sound A&R man Ryan Elliott has moved from Detroit to Berlin, finding a second home for his tech-house on Berghain label Ostgut Ton. With Heiko Laux (Kanzleramt) and residents Taimur and Fahad.
