Taxi Charged $800,000 For Airport Ride

Peter Rahhaoui, a driver for a car service in Queens, pleaded guilty to fraud for charging a Hong Kong businessman almost $800,000 for a 2008 ride from Teterboro Airport to Manhattan. (So quit your bitching.) But Tony Chan, the millionaire “feng-shui master” who got scammed, apparently didn’t even notice the charges until bank security brought it to his attention. In that case, Rahhaoui should get to keep at least half because he obviously needed it more. An ever-classy New York Post commenter has other ideas: “DEPORT him.” [NYP]
