True to its title, the popular French composer’s latest album, Dust Lane, lets his grimier experimental rock tendencies bury his formidable classical training. It’s far removed from his acclaimed score for Amelie, the remarkable 2001 surrealist romance, which sounded like a flirtation between a music box and an accordion. Tonight, he’ll perform with orchestral accompaniment that threatens to tip the scales in his original, classical direction. Singer-songwriter Shannon Wright opens; expect tunes from her 2005 collaboration with Tiersen.
