But her death, on Monday, has not been ruled a homicide (at least not yet), and that’s because of inconclusive autopsy results, the Daily News‘s John Lauinger reports. Naturally, that has enraged her son, Rocco Naimo.
“This was a killing. They killed my mother,” Rocco Naimo raged, noting that his mother was in good health before the attack on the evening of January 23.
“It cost my mother her life – you hear me! It cost my mother her life.”
The robbers, a man and a woman, came up from behind the Naimos and knocked them down. Joe, who is 81 and was already missing an eye, really got the shit beat out of him. Rocco Naimo heard the commotion and ran to their aid. He was punched in the face and knocked down. The scumbags grabbed Joe’s wallet and $18 in cash and ran off down Victory Boulevard.
Linda Naimo had been punched in the face; she had suffered a fractured skull and broken nose, among other injuries.
The NYPD was already offering a $12,000 reward for info that nails these perps. Tipsters can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submit tips at nypdcrimestoppers.com or text info to 274637 (CRIMES), entering TIP577.
