Yesterday it was reported by various sources, including the New York Times, that Lindsay Lohan — fresh out of rehab, in the midst of new legal troubles — would be appearing on David Letterman on Thursday to read the night’s Top 10 list. CBS themselves announced the actress’s appearance, saying she’d present the list live via satellite from Los Angeles in her fifth appearance on the show. And yet…what’s this? 10 hours ago, Lohan tweeted:
As of this morning, CBS News was still promoting her appearance on the show.
So…who’s screwing whom? Actually, there seems to have been a third party.
Via a statement from Letterman:
“Lindsay Lohan will not be delivering a Top Ten list on Thursday’s Late Show with David Letterman, as had been previously announced. We made a mistake. Someone purporting to be a friend of Lindsay’s reached out to the show yesterday, allegedly on her behalf, and booked her to appear. Clearly, this person was not authorized to make commitments on her behalf. We wish Lindsay well, and look forward to having her on the show in the future.”
Dina, was that you?
