Not for the squeamish, cult director Miike’s bloody Mardi Gras is a shamelessly entertaining exercise in cinematic bad behavior that has something to do with a yakuza war engulfing the back alleys of Tokyo’s tawdry Shinjuku district. The madcap opening is topped only by the mindboggling sci-fi closer.
