The intrepid pianist has a way of making ornery motifs poised. Even during a storm–“Black Tunnel,” say, from the remarkable Rye Eclipse–a sense of order bubbles up. Don’t know if it’s due to her classical background or a simple penchant for order, but it’s enticing nonetheless. It’s been a minute since she addressed her quartet book, and with Malaby, Rainey, and Opsvik onboard, those tunnels should give way to mucho light.
