The restaurant’s Jazz Room will host a three-course prix-fixe menu inspired by New Orleans and accompanied by the seven-piece All Saints Brass Band. Expect dishes like Oysters Bienville and Lobster Jambalaya, as well as a Tarot card reader, and French Quarter cocktails. Tickets are $125, including 20 percent tip and $15 donation to the Greater New Orleans Gulf Foundation Gulf Coast Oil Spill Fund.
Whisky and NYC Women Unite

In honor of International Women’s Day, Compass Box Whisky is hosting its second annual tasting event to benefit Bottomless Closet, a nonprofit that provides interview skills, business clothing, and career development to disadvantaged women in New York. Eight female bartenders from such bars as Mayahuel, Death & Co., and Raines Law Room will be mixing up drinks paired with artisanal chocolate and cheese. Tickets are $85.
New Jersey Food & Wine Festival
Crystal Springs Resort
Saturday, March 12, 7 p.m.
A couple New York chefs are heading to New Jersey for the third annual food-and-wine fest there. The Grand Tasting will feature 30 from around the world alongside dishes by Top Chef runner-up Ed Cotton of Plein Sud, Ben Pollinger of Oceana, and Tribeca Grill’s Stephen Lewandowski. Tickets are $95 in advance, $125 at the door.
