Three Lives confers on itself the highest grade.
The city’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene got something of a comeuppance when beloved Greenwich Village bookstore Three Lives & Co. posted their own version of the restaurant-rating letter grade.
Doing a much better job of knocking off the familiar white-and-blue certificate than S. Dynasty on 48th Street, Three Lives & Co. dubbed their version a “Literary Inspection Grade,” and awarded themselves an A+.
Nevertheless, the award is well-deserved. And now we wonder, Will the DOH soon be filing a lawsuit? (The answer is a resounding “no,” since government agencies are prohibited from filing copyright infringement lawsuits.)
