The future of the former Kurve/Rhong Tiam space is uncertain, but the restaurant, now completely gutted, seems to have traded its space-age-bachelor-acid-trip trappings for a more nihilistic outlook. As workers have ripped out all vestiges of its former dubious glory, a message painted on the restaurant’s side seems to relay not only Kurve’s sobering fate, but that of the majority of New York’s restaurants:
One can’t help but think it would make a good name for whatever goes in here next …
