Former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor was sentenced on Tuesday to six years probation and forced to register as a sex offender for paying $300 to have sex with a 16-year-old girl last May at a Holiday Inn. “I am not a prostitute,” said the victim Christina Fierro, now 17. “I am a victim and I am hurting. I don’t think the sentence given to Mr. Taylor is fair.” Fierro is now represented by Gloria Allred, and the all-star lawyer says the teenager would have rejected the plea deal if she had known what was going on. Taylor’s lawyer called exposing the victim to the media “a disgrace.”
Fierro claims she was beaten by a pimp and forced to meet Taylor, who she believes should have known she was an abused minor. Taylor is not allowed to visit porn websites or sex shops, and must be home between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. He is not allowed to be alone with children except his son and his son’s friends. Taylor’s sex offender level will be decided on April 12.
“When this thing all went down, I thought this thing would be over in a week,” Taylor told Fox News yesterday. Ah, fame and entitlement!
