Among unsavory pop stars, both Chris Brown and Charlie Sheen have been known to be abusive to women.
But on her Sirius radio show, Rosie O’Donnell said she feels Brown is getting a worse rap than most in a similar situation.
Said Rosie, “I just don’t know why this kid seems to be held to a different standard than anyone else.”
Rosie’s producer brought up bigotry, and Rosie countered, “I totally think there is, and I also think it’s why he felt he was safer with Robin Roberts.”
I’d normally agree — racism still runs deep in this society — but can you honestly say Charlie is getting a good rap??
Does anyone feel he’s gotten what you’d call positive press???
Yes, I saw a TV interview that was a little too ass-kissy, but generally, his name provokes nothing but smirks and spewing sounds from the media.
And while Charlie is out of a job, Chris’s album is currently number one and he was just on a ratings-smash episode of Dancing With the Stars!
Charlie, meanwhile, is telling booing customers, “Well, I’ve already got your $80!”
