Will There One Day Be an Asian Eataly?

by

Zagat today has a Q&A with Danielle Chang, founder of the Luckyrice festival. Among other things, Chang says that she’d “love to create a permanent Night Market, something like an Asian version of Eataly. … I would love to bring that concept to New York, which I think is ready for something like that.” Obviously, she hasn’t been to Greenpoint

Meanwhile, in other Asian-food-related news, Eater reports that Fatty ‘Cue will open a mobile stand in Battery Park City, alongside Ed’s Lobster Bar and Quality Burger. It seems safe to say that the neighborhood is ready for something like that.
