The Lower East Side was a touch less rowdy this weekend. Have the nightlife revelers finally moved on to a new part of town? No, of course not. But two hot spots were shuttered by the NYPD for underage drinking.
According to The Lo-Down, the 7th Precinct shut down Mason Dixon and Los Feliz, shortly after 8 on Saturday night, abruptly halting all mechanical bull riding for that evening. According to signs posted on the door at the end of the evening, the two establishments were charged with serving liquor to minors and serving liquor “after hours” (in the case of Mason Dixon). Both establishments are owned by Rob Shamlian. Don’t worry, kids — Johnny Utah’s features a bull, too. But, kiddies, better invest in some better fake IDs first.
