Last week, we learned that Mike Franzetti was replacing Nate Smith at Dean Street. Franzetti came to the restaurant from Bar Stuzzicheria, so his departure created a space that needed to be filled.
And so it has been: Per Grub Street, Ron Suhanosky is now the Tribeca restaurant’s executive chef. Suhanosky, who was previously at Sfoglia, will be keeping the menu largely intact and also adding some rotating seasonal dishes.
And what of Nate Smith? Grub has learned that he’s been doing a series of pop-up “Sunday Suppers” at Veronica People’s Club in Greenpoint. Twenty dollars gets you a three-course meal and a cocktail, and we’ll certainly raise a glass to that.
