Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, and prepare to be amazed when John Wesley Harding’s Cabinet of Wonders returns to City Winery for one more night of heart-pounding entertainment. Harding, a British novelist and singer-songwriter, has your “my-friends-with-vastly-different-tastes-hate-everything-I’ve-suggested-for-Friday-night” problem solved with this all-star lineup of comedians, authors, and musicians. The musical curiosities in his cabinet include alt-country singer Allison Moorer, former lead singer of Shudder to Think Craig Wedren, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Tanya Donelly (Throwing Muses), Soul Coughing’s frontman Mike Doughty, and a special performance by JWH & The English UK. On comedy duty is the always-excellent Eugene Mirman. Authors Mary Gaitskill (Veronica) and Rick Moody (Four Fingers of Death) provide the literary thrills. Really, what more could you ask for?
