It was a bang-bang murder and arrest during yesterday afternoon’s rush hour. A 27-year-old East Harlem man was quickly chased down yesterday afternoon for allegedly shooting another man to death under the Metro North tracks at 128th and Park Avenue as commuter trains rumbled overhead. Dead is Joshua Nelson, who was found lying on the ground after being shot several times. Denni Valdez, 26, ran from the scene but was nabbed in no time, cops say. He was charged with murder.
Cops responded to the shots at 4:50 p.m. and scooped up Valdez as he raced into the lobby of his apartment building nearby at 57 East 128th Street. Meanwhile, paramedics worked to save Nelson, of 51 East 129 Street, but he was pronounced DOA at the scene. Nice and neat — except that a mother’s son is dead.
